![]() ![]() But one question, for millenium dawn, it says the archive path in this mod's descriptor file is invalid or does not exist. This started to happen when they updated the launchers while Steam was also updating how the workshop content would be distributed, and it's still causing problems. Sorry, but this process will delete all your mod data and settings (besides saves if you back them up) so be warned. Start HoI4's launcher, let it sit open for like 10-20 seconds, then close it. They are awake enough to get out of bed, talk or scream and have their eyes open but they are asleep in that they do not respond to a parent trying to. Subscribe to all your mods again in the workshop and let them download.ĩ. So I restarted steam to go into the files and delete them but this one thing called uigameover in the sound/menu file wont get deleted. After a couple of tries I tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling it but it got stuck. Once you have control of the game again, exit to Desktop.Ĩ. After I shift tab'd out by accident my game crashed so I tried to relaunch it only for it to not respond on launch. This will be fine for the entirety of the game, but once one of its overlords is annexed, the game crashes. You basically need to reset everything to make sure that your game's mod list and the Steam Workshop subscription list are in-sync with each other on what you have available to use as a mod. One issue that might cause this is if two countries both have the same country as a puppet. "The game crashes after one or two countries are annexed somewhere during the very next day!" Decisions in particular have a tendency to cause this type of crash for the smallest keyword spelling errors. This will happen as soon as the game initializes. Instead of reporting the errors, the errors cause the game to crash when the game is started (or when the game was still running and the changes were hot-loaded). Some files behave quite violently when they are modded and have errors. "The game crashes when a campaign is d/loaded!" Hopefully debug mode can tell you which state in particular something went wrong. State files (history/states) in particulary are very volatile in their nature to crash the game on launch without any warning in case just a single character is out of place or a single ID is unaccounted for. This is usually a problem that the game does not know how to solve. Turn on debug mode and restart the game, were there any issues detected? If not, it is possible that the names you used do not match up with those of the actual game files. Whenever there are issues in most files such as localization, events, national focuses, ideas, etc, the game will continue running despite detecting problems with a file. "One of my modded files doesn't work at all!" If it does, See the nudge! part in Tools. ![]() Try to relaunch the game in debug mode with the mods enabled and see if it complains about buildings on launch. Combining multiple of these mods makes the game even more unstable. If the buildings file isn't updated then the game will eventually crash because of it. There is a lot of mods that mess around with states, provinces and factory amounts on states.
